A sports massage should not be confused with a relaxation massage. While a relaxation massage is intended to relax, a sports massage focuses primarily on the functional aspect. Whether it is toning (activating muscles, for example before a competition) or detonating (relaxing muscles, for example after intense exercise), the goal is always to improve performance.
Sports are only one part of the whole. A sports massage comes in handy after strenuous exercise, for minor injuries, for stiff, stiff or heavy muscles. Or in preparation for an intense activity, a sports competition or after a long period of inactivity. The duration of a sports massage is 60 minutes.
Sports massage contributes to faster recovery after exercise by effectively draining waste products from the muscles and promoting recovery from injuries. It also improves blood flow to the muscles and helps eliminate stress points, providing an overall improvement in the recovery process. When a muscle is overused or injured, it is essential to reduce the pressure on that muscle. Depending on the situation, I apply kinesio tape that reduces or increases muscle tension.

The time you need to benefit from a manual massage can vary depending on the type and intensity of massage you receive. You can schedule it before or after exercise or after your workday or before or after working out. You specify what you want to achieve with the massage and where the focus of the massage should be.

We recommend that you shower and also avoid heavy meals and alcohol before the massage. To experience the maximum benefits of a massage, take adequate rest after each massage and drink plenty of water.
Our manual massage is also suitable for someone who works in the same position every day, or does physically demanding work, or does a lot of computer work and/or has a lot of stress. It may also be worth considering a 90-minute manual session for a full body relaxation (e.g. at a first appointment, or to be combined with taping and/or injury prevention or a brainLight session beforehand).
